Reality Gaming Group joins Blockchain Game Alliance

Reality Gaming Group – the team behind the augmented reality first-person shooter (FPS) mobile game Reality Clash – has announced it is to join the Blockchain Game Alliance.

Similar to Pokemon Go, Reality Clash tasks players with out-gunning their online opponents.

The game was launched earlier this year for iOS and Android devices, and is set in an underground word of cryptocurrencies and hackers.

It implements geo-location technology enabling players to engage in real-time FPS battles in unique virtual environments.

Reality Clash uses the Reality Clash Coin (RCC) – a cryptocurrency – that allows players to purchase and sell in-game blockchain-based assets and monetise them.

The Blockchain Game Alliance is an organisation of various gaming companies dedicated to promoting global adoption of blockchain technology within the video games industry.

Some of its members include industry heavyweights like Ubisoft, The Sandbox, The Abyss, Enjin, The Six Dragons.

The BGA provides an open forum for its members to discuss knowledge and collaborate on research and aid each other in fostering new methods to create, publish, play and monetise games.

“We’re very happy to see that the number of companies on-boarded in the Blockchain Game Alliance is increasing steadily,” explained Manon Burgel, president of the Blockchain Game Alliance.

“Studios with hands-on experience that can provide strong feedback, like Reality Gaming Group, are particularly helpful. We’re looking forward to collaborating with them and move the blockchain game industry forward.”
