At the conclusion of the 2020 Call of Duty League (CDL) Championship Weekend, Activision may have leaked the next changes to Warzone.

The current season for the free-to-play battle royale altered the Verdansk map by opening up the Stadium and introducing a roaming train.

Despite this, players have eagerly been awaiting news on what may happen next with some rumours suggesting a Subway system will be added.

During the CDL Championship Weekend, Activision may just have confirmed these rumblings.

Throughout the broadcast, eagle-eyed viewers curiously spotted a strange structure next to the Stadium that does not currently appear in-game.

This led some to speculate that it could be one of the new Subway stations that will be dotted around the map.

Once the event had finished, the publisher took to Twitter to congratulate the winners – Dallas Empires – with a video attached showing the same structure.

However, it is not yet clear what the building actually is, especially when considering Activision is yet to announce any such changes to the map.

Given the persistence of the Subway rumours though, this could well be the first teaser for the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season.

Elsewhere, data miners recently unearthed files that point to a new game type called ‘Nightfall‘ that could be a new Warzone mode that is played in complete darkness.

Again, the publisher has not provided any evidence to give credence to the leak but, with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War being mere months away, it shouldn’t be too long until Warzone receives an overhaul.
