Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 update can be pre-loaded4th August 2020
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 is mere hours away and players can now preload the update prior to its official release.
While the update cannot be installed before the season’s debut, the preload function will no doubt come as a positive to any with slow internet connections.
Rather than waiting for an extra day for the patch to be downloaded, they can have it ready to be installed as soon as possible.
The update is set to radically change Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, particularly the free-to-play Warzone battle royale mode.
As many have speculated for quite some time, the Stadium area of the Verdansk map will be opened to allow players to fight each other inside of it.
Additionally, there will be a train roaming around the map – presumably full of loot – similar to the one found in Apex Legends.
New operators will also be introduced from the mysterious Shadow Company, a group fans may recall from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009).
The official trailer for Season 5 showed some quality of life improvements, such as the ability to rapidly scale a building to hunt pesky snipers.
For multiplayer enthusiasts, there are two new 6v6 maps incoming in the form of Suldal Harbour and Petrov Oil Rig.
Additionally, Verdansk Airport will be introduced as a new Ground War map while the Gunfight mode will have the Livestock map added.
The APC9 sub-machine gun and AN-94 assault rifle are also hotly tipped to be the latest weapons for players to unlock and level up.
Like all previous patches, the update is set to be a hefty one though, Infinity Ward has said that it will reduce the overall file size for the game.
