Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates two game modes31st March 2020
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) will be updating two of its popular online multiplayer modes alongside adding double XP until the end of the season.
Cyber Attack – an already frenetic game mode – will receive a ‘Pro’ version in which players will no longer be able to revive teammates but respawns have been enabled.
Likewise, Plunder – one of the game types available for the free-to-play Warzone battle royale mode – will be updated.
Felled opponents will now drop more cash allowing players to swiftly build up their stash and attempt to win. The reward from bounty contracts will also be increased.
To be victorious, teams of three must amass $1,000,000 in a thirty minute window and secure it by depositing the money in a helicopter.
The updated rules should add extra tension since fortunes can be gathered quicker, but likewise lost just as easily.
Given that Season 2 is fast approaching its end, Activision has also announced that double XP for both Officer Ranks and weapons will be available to give people a greater chance at hitting the maximum level for this season before the third one commences.
Interestingly, this isn’t the only positive news to emerge surrounding the franchise.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) campaign remaster trailer recently leaked and sparked mass excitement online.
The game is considered by many to be the greatest in the series, though this is in respect to its multiplayer.
At the moment, the only confirmed aspect of the remastered title is its story.
However, the original Modern Warfare (2009) received an updated version several years back – for both its campaign and multiplayer – which means there is still hope for MW2’s online modes further down the line.
