Pro skateboarder seemingly confirms new Tony Hawk game

Professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto recently revealed on a podcast that a new Tony Hawk game will be released and she will feature in it.

It has been several years since the last entry to the Pro Skater series came out, with many fans still reeling for more.

Across the years numerous well-known figures have made their way onto video games.

She recently appeared on ‘The Nine Club’ podcast and during a segment where she discussed her appearance in Pro Skater 5 before revealing there would be another and “I’ll be in that too”.

Interestingly, it would seem she may have let the cat out of the bag when she shouldn’t have.

Several reports have emerged since the podcast was uploaded citing Armanto’s comments about the supposedly upcoming title.

It would now appear that all versions of the podcast have been edited to remove her slip-up, which typically suggests it is true – though until a publisher or Hawk himself confirms anything, it largely remains unclear whether it will be coming or not.

The last entry was met with much criticism and didn’t do particularly well, which ultimately led to the icon and Activision parting ways.

However, this isn’t the only wave of news to cause a buzz in the skating community.

A couple of days ago, one journalist took to Twitter to claim they had a contact at Activision that told them about how the first two Pro Skater titles had demos remade and were passed around internally.

They didn’t share the news initially because they were unsure whether the games were being fully remade or if the demos were simply for testing purposes.

It would seem that the series could well be making its long-awaited return, though there is still yet to be any official confirmation.
