Rumour: GTA VI to be unveiled this week24th March 2020
The rumour mill has once again been set in motion as the latest rumblings suggest Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI could be announced this week.
Rockstar is renown for being tight-lipped about its upcoming projects and with Red Dead Redemption 2 having only released at the back end of 2018, many were not expecting a new title for sometime.
This is even more pertinent when considering the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are not due to hit the shelves until Holiday Season 2020.
Both would be ideal platforms for the developer’s next project to debut on.
Given the recent COVID-19 pandemic, however, it remains unclear if either launch will go ahead.
Despite this, rumours about GTA VI have heated up.
Rockstar will reportedly unveil Grand Theft Auto VI on March 25. The first trailer will apparently release no more than a week later.
The game will be set in Vice City during the 1980’s, a time period and location some had been expecting.
There will even be a way of playing as police, though this will likely be rooted to the online multiplayer. Details on this remain scarce, however.
Considering the veracity of the sources are limited, it would be wise to take the latest rumblings with a pinch of salt and until Rockstar itself confirms the news, there is no concrete idea on when we can expect GTA VI.
