Kappa unveils limited edition eSports clothing for Vexed Gaming

Sportswear giant Kappa has made its way into the world of eSports with a limited edition casual wear collection for Vexed Gaming.

It has unveiled two shirt designs – one for men and one for women – with both available for pre-sale at the Gamers Apparel Store.

The sale began on November 4 and will run for one week. It will not be restocking the items once they have sold out.

Kappa’s designs will be launched in tandem with the pre-sale of a Kappa x Vexed hoodie from the team’s permanent 2020 collection, which will be released formally at the end of December.

The shirts symbolise the beginning of the landmark partnership between the sportswear powerhouse and rising eSports organisation.

The long-term strategic plan for the Italian clothing manufacturer is to provide the team with both technical and casual wear ranges, with the former available later this month.

“We are tremendously excited to bring these limited-edition shirts to our fans,” said Mark Weller, chief gaming officer at Vexed Gaming.

“Kappa is known for its stylish and iconic designs across all the sports it works with and eSports is no exception. Our upcoming range of technical and casual wear will enable both Kappa and Vexed Gaming to connect with the eSports community in new and interesting ways.”

Vexed Gaming was established back in 2015 and has teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, Hearthstone and Apex Legends.

It also set up the UK’s first dedicated team training facility, established the country’s first Varsity programme and undertook a collaboration with football leviathan Leeds United.

Joe Pilato, sports marketing executive at Kappa UK, revealed that it is “proud to be working with Vexed Gaming to bring the Kappa name into the exciting world of eSports”.

“It’s going to be an amazing journey and we are delighted the mark our official entry into esports with this limited-edition range of casual wear, which we’re sure fans of the team will love,” he adds.
