Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s Iden Versio could appear in The Mandalorian17th January 2020
Janina Gavankar has expressed interest in reprising her role as Iden Versio in the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian.
When Star Wars: Battlefront 2 released, it was met with controversy particularly with its online mode.
Fan-favourite characters like Darth Vader were locked behind either hours and hours of gameplay, or real money.
It caused quite the commotion for Electronic Arts (EA) but, despite the multiplayer being hounded, its single-player story – while short – was received positively.
The main character is Iden Versio, a soldier for the Empire, and the narrative is set after the demise of Emperor Palpatine in Return of the Jedi. Her story ends but not forever and there is room for it to continue.
The Mandalorian, on the other hand, recently enjoyed its first outing on Disney+. It is spearheaded by Dave Filoni, someone who learned everything he could from George Lucas, and is one of the last people working on the Star Wars franchise who truly understands it.
It is all but certain it will receive a second season.
One fan created a mocked-up poster for actors and actresses they would like to see appear in the show, including Janina Gavankar.
A separate fan then tweeted the actress, asking her “is this true?”
“You’ll have to have ask Mr Dave Filoni,” she replied.

While this is far from confirmation Gavankar will appear in The Mandalorian, she at the very least seems interested in possibly reprising her role as Iden Versio.
Interestingly, the TV show is also set after Return of the Jedi and takes place a little after the events of Battlefront 2, meaning there is possible room for overlap between the two mediums.
However, until there is official confirmation there is no guarantee the actress will star in the beloved Disney show.
