Reality Clash shortlisted for two industry awards
Reality Clash – an augmented combat mobile game – has been named a finalist in both the Meffys and TIGA awards.
Hailed as the world’s first mobile and augmented reality (AR) combat and multiplayer shooter game, Reality Clash is set in an underground world of cryptocurrencies and hackers.
Players compete in real-time first-person shooter (FPS) skirmishes across unique virtual environments.
Launched earlier this year, the dynamic title has been developed and published by Reality Gaming Group and also boasts its own Reality Clash Coin (RCC) cryptocurrency that can be used in the in-game marketplace to trade virtual goods and items.
All the in-game assets and items are blockchain-based which means users can own their items indefinitely and monetise them, if they so choose.
Reality Clash has now been named as a finalist in the ‘Creativity’ category for the 9th annual TIGA Games Industry Awards which looks to recognise innovative game development and celebrates the achievements of both small and large-scale game development studios.
It has also been announced as a finalist in the ‘Blockchain in Mobile’ category for the Meffys.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be listed alongside the other finalists, for not just one but two very prestigious and long-running industry awards,” says Tony Pearce, co-founder of Reality Gaming Group.
“It’s both extremely humbling and a great recognition of all the hard work that the team here have put into Reality Clash over the last two years.”
