Nintendo Switch unwraps new indie games for Christmas11th December 2019
Nintendo’s closing update of 2019 for the Switch console has unveiled an assortment of indie games.
The festive selection box even included some follow-ups to two of the Switch’s most popular games as Axiom Verge 2 and Sports Story became Yuletide surprises.
Sports Story is the highly-anticipated sequel to the amusing Golf Story RPG introducing a new set of sports to pursue.
Axiom Verge 2 picks up from where the action left off in the first offering of the pixel shooter. Axiom Verge 2 will also be the stepping stone towards the Switch’s own Metroid game which is expected to be out at the end of 2020.
Both Sports Story and Axiom Verge 2 will be on the shelves before summer.
Meanwhile, a host of other new games will be making their way onto the console.
The Talos Principle Deluxe Edition should get a fanfare welcome, as will Streets of Rage 4.
A free-to-play monster-hunting RPG – Dauntless – became available over the last 24 hours. The slick action story already has a massive fanbase on PS4, PC and Xbox.
The Survivalists – a spin-off from The Escapists – will also make its way to the Switch soon.
Gamers in Japan are in for a treat, however, as it was revealed that a handful of extra games will be available for players in Nintendo’s home nation.
The Kyoto-based firm did announce, though, that the well-loved hit ‘To The Moon’ will be making its console debut on January 16.
