Ninja discusses Mixer move on Kevin Hart’s ‘Cold as Balls’

Earlier this year streaming maestro Ninja jumped ship from Twitch to Mixer, a move he discussed with Kevin Hart on the comedian’s show.

Shortly after the switch, eGaming Desk reported on Jessica Blevins – the streamer’s wife and manager – revealing the move was sparked by contract issues.

Popular rumours suggested the star left the Amazon-owned platform for money, with some even claiming he was “selling out”.

His wife quickly dismissed the claims, a sentiment now publicly shared by himself.

She also spoke about how the change would enable them to grow the Ninja brand – something they wouldn’t have been able to do much outside of gaming.

Kevin Hart – one of the world’s most popular comedians – has a show called ‘Cold as Balls‘ in which he routinely converses with well-known celebrities as they sit in a cold bath of ice.

The latest person to feature on the show was none other than Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins who was propelled into the stratosphere back in 2018.

At one point, he even live streamed with music mogul Drake – an event which the streamer says “broke the internet”.

While speaking with the comedian, he illuminated on how Drake contacted him.

“Drake actually hit me up and I was actually just like this is the greatest thing in the world,” he joked.

Perhaps the biggest talking point from the show was the discussion relating to the shock move from Twitch to Microsoft-owned Mixer.

“Contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t a money play,” the star reveals. “The deal was better to continue to grow our brand.”

He continues to discuss how it was also about awareness across the globe and not just in the Western world.

“If you go to China, first of all 99% of streaming platforms are banned there,” he said.

Kevin Hart swiftly asked him if he had intentions to expand into the Chinese market to which the ace streamer replied he had been trying, but was unsuccessful thus far.
