Cuphead spotted on PSN Store

Popular run and gun platformer Cuphead may soon be available on PS4 after a leak was spotted on the PSN store.

The leak was originally spied by ResetEra’s Alchemist before reports from various other individuals began to crop up all over the Internet.

While initially there appeared to be a dedicated page to the Indie title, when players clicked on it, they were greeted with a message that read “this content cannot be selected at this time”.

It has since been replaced with Sword Art Online which suggests Cuphead shouldn’t have appeared on the store, at least not yet.

Interestingly, Summer Game Fest 2020 creator Geoff Keighley recently posted an updated that teased a “special update from one of our favourite Indie game studios” is due.

This has led many to believe the fan-favourite run and gun title is going to be released on PlayStation 4, possibly with the “The Last Delicious Course” expansion pack.

For those unaware about the platformer, the game’s Steam page describes it as:

“A classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

“Play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil!”
