Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 could ‘come sooner than we think’4th December 2019
Last year Sony Interactive debuted Marvel’s Spider-Man, one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 titles of the year.
Throughout the decades there have been numerous video games based on the hit comic character, but none have shone quite like the PS exclusive.
Whereas earlier ones still featured fantastic web-slinging mechanics, the physics on the 2018 one are far superior to any which have come before.
The sequel – hotly tipped for the PS5 – is bound to drastically build upon the foundations laid out by its predecessor and once again captivate comic book enthusiasts worldwide.
Since release, there have been several downloadable content (DLC) expansions which continue the story of fan-favourite Black Cat and everybody’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.
Imran Khan – who previously wrote for Game Informer – accidentally let slip some details about the sequel to the highly popular title while speaking on the ‘Kinda Funny‘ gamescast.
He said: “With as hard as Sony has been showing off (the first one) on PS5 – it being like, ‘this is how we’re going to prove how different this is,’ – I think Spider-Man 2… I know too much about this, so I can’t speculate too much.
“I think Spider-Man 2 will come soon than we think.”
Much to some fans’ chagrin, it is unlikely it will release when the PS5 hits the shelves during Holiday, 2020.
It could, however, arrive during 2021, which is still some time away and seemingly contradicts his speculation that it will arrive sooner than we think, unless it was planned to be released much later than 2021.
