The Walking Dead comes to VR with Saints & Sinners

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an upcoming virtual reality (VR) game based on the hit comic book series by Robert Kirkman.

The beloved comics were hugely popular even before the zombie apocalypse survival tale was adapted into a hit TV show starring Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes.

The 10th and latest season of the popular show premiered earlier this week exclusively on AMC, with a worldwide release set for October 6.

While the live-action adaptation enjoys its most recent outing on cable television, game development studio Skydance Interactive has partnered with Skybound Entertainment to bring the franchise to VR.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners will be set in the city of New Orleans.

As the title indicates, the player will be tasked with surviving the zombie apocalypse and will be presented with numerous choices which will dictate the flow of the game.

Players can choose to be a saint, helping others along the way, or a sinner, acting in their own self-interest to preserve their life.

A trailer for the upcoming VR title can be seen below, and while it does not showcase any gameplay, it does tease a violent world where the walkers aren’t the only enemy lurking in the shadows.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners has a release date set for January 23 2020.
